Where's Waldo? In Brooklyn, of course!

After a two year hiatus, the iconic children’s book character in the red-and-white-striped shirt and black-rimmed specs is BACK with a difference!  Waldo is visiting local businesses throughout our communities this July. Kids of all ages are invited to participate in the Find Waldo Local scavenger hunt -- a great summer vacation activity and a wonderful way to support local businesses in our community.  (Check back for a full list of participating businesses!)

Please note that we have separate search lists for both our Fort Greene / Clinton Hill and our Flatbush neighborhoods -- visit the bookstore location nearest you to start the search!

HOW TO PARTICIPATE:

1. Pick up a Find Waldo Local search list at Greenlight Bookstore, or any of the participating local businesses.

2. When you spot Waldo at any of the businesses listed on the list, collect a store stamp (or signature).

3. When you spot the Waldo with a difference at Greenlight Bookstore, collect another store stamp (or signature).

4. When you’ve collected at least ten different store stamps/signatures, take them to Greenlight Bookstore, your FIND WALDO LOCAL headquarters, to claim a Waldo temporary tattoo and a coupon for $1 off (limited to the first 125 Waldo-spotters).

5. If you collect at least twenty stamps/signatures, take your passport to to get a temporary tattoo and coupon, PLUS be entered in a drawing for a deluxe set of Waldo books and other great prizes.

There is no charge to participate, and the hunt lasts for the entire month of July. For more information about hunting for Waldo, talk to the booksellers at Greenlight Bookstore.  Pick up a passport any time starting July 1 to get started on Find Waldo in your neighborhood.  And save the date to join us for our Waldo Finale Party (to be held outdoors in each neighborhood!) on July 31!
