Offsite Event Sales

Are you hoping to have books for sale for your upcoming event? Greenlight can help! We’re available to provide sales across Brooklyn and Manhattan at events including book parties, readings, panels, and conferences.

We schedule offsite sales at least two weeks in advance, and a month or more of advance notice is preferable to ensure availability. If you’re inquiring about an especially large event like a conference or expo, please get in touch at least two months in advance.

For most offsite events, Greenlight sends one of our knowledgeable booksellers to process sales at the event, and we also coordinate and cover the costs of all book ordering and returns. We bring our own supplies and point of sale system to the event and require just a table, chair, and wireless or network access from the venue. Greenlight works with organizers to provide a suitable selection of books for the event, and we’re happy to take requests when possible.

There is no fee associated with having a Greenlight bookseller at your event and, with occasional exceptions for large events, Greenlight does not split sales revenue with event organizers. For most events, we determine a reasonable required minimum number of books sold, agreed upon in advance based on the particular book(s). The event organizer is responsible for purchasing additional books if sales to event attendees do not reach the minimum. If your organization is not able to commit to a sales minimum, please also feel free to contact us about possible alternatives, including unstaffed book sales.

If you’re interested in partnering with us for offsite sales, please send an email to the link below. In your email, please include as much of the following information as possible:

  • What are the date and time of your event?
  • Which authors and/or titles will be featured?
  • What is the address of the event venue?
  • About how many attendees are you expecting?
  • Is the event open to the public?
  • Would it be possible to ship books to the event venue ahead of time?
  • A link to the event website or other event details, if applicable.

We’ll get back to you as soon as we can, but please feel free to send a follow-up email if you don’t hear back within a week or so (please do not call the bookstore to follow up, as we are unable to respond to requests by phone). We look forward to hearing from you!
