World Book Night Kickoff Party!
Readings by Paul Elie, Josh Farrar, Jessica Hagedorn, Paul Holdengraber, Dave Isay, Angel Nafis, Touré, and Matt Weiland
Book Pickup by World Book Night Givers to follow
On April 23, specially selected Givers all over the US, the UK, Ireland, and Germany will give away great books to those who might not otherwise encounter them. Now in its third year, World Book Night is a celebration of reading, made possible by authors, publishers, readers, and bookstores and libraries around the country and around the world. Greenlight is proud to be a participating bookstore, and tonight we’ll hand over cartons of books to World Book Night Givers to give away next Tuesday! To mark the occasion, we’ve asked some of our favorite local authors and literary folks to read from their favorite books on this year’s World Book Night title list. Join us for a joyous celebration of great books and a great night in the bookstore.
Paul Elie (author of Reinventing Bach) reads The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan
