An Evening with the Women of Color Writers Workshop
Greenlight is honored to welcome back the Women of Color (WOC) Writers Workshop's "Write to Read" Series—a virtual reading and performance that includes the work of WOC authors from across the country, featuring passages from Nikole Hannah-Jones' award-winning book The 1619 Project. Founded in 1999 by OyaBisi Ideraabdullah, the WOC Writers Workshop responds to the under-representation of women of color in the literary world. Join us virtually for an evening of performed poetry, nonfiction, and fiction works highlighting women’s creative responses to injustice, its history, and the ramifications.
