Peter Mann presents The Torqued Man
In conversation with Max Linsky

Greenlight is pleased to welcome author Peter Mann for the launch of his brilliant debut novel. At once a teasing literary thriller and a darkly comic blend of history and invention, The Torqued Man is propelled by two very different but equally mesmerizing voices: a German spy handler and his Irish secret agent, neither of whom are quite what they seem. In September, 1945, two manuscripts are found in the rubble of WWII in Berlin, each one narrating conflicting versions of the life of an Irish spy during the war. The two manuscripts spiral around each other, leaving only the reader to know the full truth of Pike and de Groot’s relationship, their ultimate loyalties, and their efforts to resist the fascist reality in which they are caught. Join us on Fulton Street for a reading from this "rollicking spy novel full of Nabokovian tricks" (Louisa Hall) followed by a conversation with Max Linsky, host of the 70 over 70 podcast and co-host of the Longform podcast, a Q&A, and a signing.
