Khaled Hosseini presents And the Mountains Echoed (paperback launch)
In conversation with Anand Giridharadas
Tickets: $15 (includes a copy of And the Mountains Echoed)
With over 10 million copies of The Kite Runner and A Thousand Splendid Suns sold in the United States, and over 38 million copies sold worldwide, Khaled Hosseini is one of most widely-read and beloved novelists in the entire world. Brooklyn Voices is proud to host Hosseini for his first-ever Brooklyn event, to launch the paperback edition of his newest novel And The Mountains Echoed. A multigenerational novel which follows its characters and the ramifications of their choices and loves around the globe – from Kabul, to Paris, to San Francisco, to the Greek island of Tinos – And The Mountains Echoed explores the many ways in which families love, wound, honor, betray, and sacrifice for one another; and how often we are surprised by the actions of those closest to us, at the times that matter most. Hosseini discusses his work with New York Times columnist and correspondent Anand Giridharadas, who is also the author of the book India Calling: An Intimate Portrait of a Nation's Remaking.
