Greenlight is proud to partner with St. Joseph's College and The Brooklyn Rail to present the Brooklyn Voices series of lectures, forums, performances, and public discussion at St. Joseph's College. The aim of the Brooklyn Voices series is to promote and enhance the creative vitality of our home neighborhoods of Fort Greene and Clinton Hill by providing writers, artists, and intellectuals with a local forum in which to discuss and present their works. Tonight, Brooklyn Voices hosts Junot Diaz, a MacArthur Grant winner and the author of the award-winning books Drown and The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao. Junot will talk about his new book, This Is How You Lose Her, and its themes of Latino culture, masculinity, love and intimacy.
St. Joseph’s College is located at 245 Clinton Avenue. Staff will direct guests to the Tuohy Auditorium. This event is free and open to the public. Signing passes will not be issued. Seating and signing are first come, first served. Books may be ordered through Greenlight for pickup at the event; please indicate "Pick up at event" in the order comments.
