Helen Wan presents The Partner Track
In conversation with Anne Ishii of the Asian American Writers Workshop
Greenlight neighbor Helen Wan practices corporate and media law (she is the Associate General Counsel at Time Inc.), and brings her inside experience at corporate law firms to bear in her new novel The Partner Track. The novel tells the story of an ambitious young Chinese-American woman who’s being groomed to become the first minority female partner at one of the country’s most prestigious law firms, until an incident at the firm’s summer outing threatens to change everything, forcing her to square off against her colleagues in a workplace war of race, gender, and sexual politics. Wan talks with Anne Ishii, a board member of the Asian American Writers Workshop (where she blogs for their online magazine The Margins) as well as a translator and editor.
