Greenlight Cookbook Club tastes & discusses Whole Larder Love
Greenlight’s new Cookbook Club, led by neighbor and educated foodie Grant Bremer, meets on the second Tuesday of every third month to share dishes and discussion of featured cookbooks, with a focus on locally available ingredients and accessible yet adventurous recipes. For the inaugural meeting, the Greenlight Cookbook Club will sample recipes from Whole Larder Love, by Australian self-described “hunter-gatherer” Rohan Anderson. As Edible Brooklyn magazine writes, “The way Aussie author Rohan Anderson chronicles his ‘grow, gather, hunt, cook’ lifestyle… you’ll swear he splits his time between Bushwick and the Catskills.” This combination how-to manual and cookbook is beautifully illustrated and perfect for foodies, farmers, hunters, gardeners, urbanites, and anyone else interested in getting more involved with the origins of the food they eat.
Featured titles are discounted 15% for the three months preceding each meeting. First-time attendees can attend without cooking; for every subsequent meeting attended they are asked to contribute a recipe for the group. Please RSVP to email@example.com to receive more information about this quarter’s meeting.
