Greenlight Bookstore is honored to partner with the New York Writers Coalition to present the 9th annual Fort Greene Park Summer Literary Festival! This year’s free outdoor reading features young writers (6-18 year olds) reading alongside faculty writers from the newly formed The Writers Foundry at St. Joseph’s College and other up-and-coming Brooklyn-based poets. The Masters of Ceremonies will be Laurie Cumbo, former director and founder of the acclaimed Museum of Contemporary African Diasporan Arts (MoCADA). This exciting event brings several generations of writers together to build on the literary traditions of the neighborhoods surrounding beautiful Fort Greene Park. Afterwards, the public is invited to Greenlight Bookstore for an after-party and time to mingle with the day’s fabulous readers.
