Fall Educators Night
Publisher title presentations, school partnership information, refreshments, and giveaways
Author presentation by Dana Goldstein, author of The Teacher Wars
Educators receive a 20% discount on all merchandise tonight only!
This bi-annual event for educators (teachers, librarians, and administrators for K-12 students) is your chance to learn about new books and materials, meet authors with books relevant to your classroom, and learn about Greenlight's partnership opportunities for your schools. For this fall event, Greenlight offers new titles chosen by our talented children’s book sales reps. Handouts will be provided, and all items will be available for sale at a special 20% discount tonight only! The evening will conclude with a book presentation by local author Dana Goldstein, author of The Teacher Wars, a groundbreaking history of 175 years of American education which reveals that many of the controversies, ideas and hot-button issues in teaching today have come up again and again. An award-winning education journalist who comes from a family of public school educators, Goldstein asks how we got here in order to illuminate the path forward. Wine and snacks will be provided before and after the hour-long event, and Greenlight Bookstore staff will be on hand to talk about book fairs, author visits, and other partnership opportunities. You can also expect door prizes and free book-related materials for educators! Feel free to forward this invitation to any and all educators in your life who might be interested in this opportunity for professional development (and free books and wine). For educators only.
RSVPs are required for this event, and educator ID is required for special discount. Please email annie@greenlightbookstore.com to RSVP and indicate your name, job title, grade, and school affiliation.
