Greenlight is delighted to launch the much-anticipated first novel by Esther Yi, Y/N, with a live and in-person reading, discussion, and celebration of Yi’s literary debut about a Korean American woman living in Berlin whose obsession with a K-pop idol sends her to Seoul on a journey of literary self-destruction. Sharp and humorously perverse, this provocative debut announces Yi as an audacious new talent. Author and publisher Eugene Lim (Search History) joins Yi at our Fort Greene store for a conversation about the novel, which explores the universal longing for transcendence and the tragic struggle to assert one’s singular story amidst the amnesiac effects of globalization.
