Drag Queen Story Hour: Ona Louise presents Tatterhood

Greenlight partners with The Feminist Press to host a special Drag Queen Story Hour, inspired by RADAR Productions’ popular series in San Francisco, and celebrating the reissue of the classic children’s folklore collection Tatterhood. Storyteller Ona Louise grew up in the buckle of the Bible Belt, but always dreamt of bright lights and big city living. Now glimmering in NYC, Ona is the caretaker of the garden of hopes and dreams, watering the young budding minds of the future. Ona Louise will share a story from Tatterhood, the 1978 bestseller from the Feminist Press now being reissued in a newly illustrated, four-volume series. In the first volume, tales from Japan, Norway, Scotland, and Sudan feature decisive heroines of extraordinary courage, wit, and achievement—reminding us that girls everywhere have always been the heroes of their own stories. Join us for a one-of-a-kind story time! All ages.
