Cannelle et Vanille: Nourishing, Gluten-Free Recipes for Every Meal and Mood
Led (virtually!) by PLG neighbor and blogger Erin Orr of the blog Big Sis Little Dish, the Cookbook Club comes together to create connection and build community through food. For June, the group will be cooking recipes from two-time James Beard Award finalist Aran Goyoaga’s Cannelle et Vanille. This cookbook provides 100 recipes that show us how to bring more joy and mindfulness to the kitchen, and connection around the table, through family-friendly meals that are satisfying, yet decidedly unfussy. Goyoaga is especially known for her tender, gluten-free baking, and the book includes recipes for her sourdough bread, caramelized onion and fennel biscuits, and apple tarte tatin (with flour substitutions included for those who aren't gluten-free). Filled with Goyoaga’s gorgeous photographs, you will also find suggestions sprinkled throughout the book for creating a welcoming space with lighting, linens, flowers, and flatware, along with gentle encouragement to spend time in the kitchen nourishing yourself as well as those you love.
In addition to registering through Zoom, please contact Erin to RSVP and confirm what dish you will be making. Erin is happy to recommend a recipe from the book if you’d like help deciding!
