Panel discussion featuring Mark Noonan, Benjamin H. Shepard, Kelly Anderson, Neil DeMause, Erik McGregor, Robin Michals, and Robin Laverne Wilson aka Dragonfly

Mark Noonan and Benjamin H. Shepard, authors of the new book Brooklyn Tides: The Fall and Rise of a Global Borough, present a panel discussion on activism, aesthetics, and the changes taking place in Brooklyn along its waterfront and throughout the borough. Joined by Kelly Anderson, director of the 2013 documentary My Brooklyn; Neil DeMause, author of The Brooklyn Wars: The Stories Behind the Remaking of New York’s Most Celebrated Borough; and photographers Erik McGregor and Robin Michals, along with auteur, raconteur, and benevolent provocateur Robin Laverne Wilson, this panel will explore the aspirations and struggles of local residents, the work of artists, and the battles to save community in this globalizing space. A Q&A and signing follow the panel discussion.
