Cecile Richards Presents Make Trouble: Standing Up, Speaking Out, and Finding the Courage to Lead
In conversation with Rebecca Traister
At the Brooklyn Public Library
Tickets $30 (includes book)
Greenlight Bookstore is proud to partner with the Brooklyn Public Library to host Cecile Richards—president of Planned Parenthood Federation of America and the Planned Parenthood Action Fund for more than a decade, daughter of the late Governor Ann Richards, featured speaker at the Women’s March on Washington, and a “heroine of the resistance” (Vogue). Her new book Make Trouble is a story about learning to lead and make change, based on a lifetime of fighting for women’s rights and social justice. Richards discusses her book in conversation with Rebecca Traister, journalist and author of All the Single Ladies: Unmarried Women and the Rise of an Independent Nation.
Each $30 ticket includes admission to the event, as well as a hardcover copy of Make Trouble; books are distributed at the event. Richards will sign books following the discussion.
The Brooklyn Public Library Central Branch is located at 10 Grand Army Plaza in Brooklyn.
