With poignant prose and a delicate, subtle approach to the struggles and beauty of life, bestselling author of She’s Not There and New York Times opinion columnist Jennifer Finney Boylan’s latest memoir explores her growing understanding of friendship, relationships, and gender identity across seven stages of her life, as reflected in the dogs who were there each step of the way. Two years ago, Boylan wrote about her relationship with her beloved dog, and the wise, funny, heartbreaking piece went viral. The column serves as the jumping off point for Good Boy: My Life in Seven Dogs, a deeply personal, beautifully written account of Boylan’s transition from young boy to middle-aged woman, and the seven memorable dogs who stood by her side.  Boylan discusses her work with nine-time Grammy nominee Sia at this intimate online event!
