Chana Ginelle Ewing presents An ABC of Equality
Part of Some Words: Black Artstory 2020

Greenlight Bookstore is proud to take part in Myrtle Avenue Brooklyn Partnership's annual Black Artstory series with a special Myrtle Avenue story time event with Brooklyn author Chana Ginelle Ewing! In keeping with this year's Black Artstory theme "Some Words", celebrating Fort Greene / Clinton Hill's history of providing space for Black artists and activists that creatively and courageously wielded their words in pursuit of a higher cause, Chana presents her new picture book An ABC of Equality. In this cheerful yet thought-provoking alphabet book, simple explanations accompanied by engaging artwork teach children about the world we live in and how to navigate our way through it. Cheerful people from a range of backgrounds, ethnicities and abilities lead the way through the alphabet. As Chana writes, "A is for ABILITY. B is for Belief, C is for Class. ALL people have the right to be treated fairly, no matter who they are, what they look like, or where they come from. This is called Equality." Join us for a special all-ages story time, followed by a craft activity. Book signing to follow; books for sale by Greenlight Bookstore.

Pipsqueak Shoppe is located at 469 Myrtle Ave in Brooklyn.
