Book/Plate: A Culinary/Literary Series with Greenlight Bookstore and Peck's Homemade

Greenlight Bookstore partners with neighborhood market and restaurant Peck’s Homemade to present Book/Plate, a literary/culinary series featuring dinner with an author which pairs new books with complementary cuisine.  Guests receive a copy of the new book, an inspired multi-course meal and drinks, and an incomparable encounter with an author for the price of admission. Past authors and meals have included Franciso Goldman (Mexican food inspired by The Interior Circuit), Matthew Gavin Frank (an aquatic menu inspired by Preparing the Ghost), Amanda Vaill (Paella and tapas inspired by Hotel Florida), Jim Shepard (Jewish comfort food inspired by The Book of Aron), Etgar Keret (vegetarian Israeli dishes inspired by The Seven Good Years), Annie Liontas (Greek classics inspired by Let Me Explain You), and Jonathan Weisman (Portuguese delights inspired by No. 4 Imperial Lane).

Book/Plate is an outdoor event, and is currently on hiatus for the fall/winter season.  Check back in the spring for a new lineup!

Peck's Homemade is located at 455A Myrtle Avenue (between Washington and Waverly).  For more information about the venue, email peckshomemade@gmail.com.
