Author Miriam Weiner and illustrator Shannon Whitt present Shakespeare's Seasons
Special reading by Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz!

Brooklyn-based author and illustrator team offer a first taste of Shakespeare to young readers! Carefully curated excerpts from Shakespeare's work accompany spectacular art to illustrate the seasons. Familiar lines such as "Shall I compare thee to a summer’s day? Thou art more lovely and more temperate" are included along with elegant selections from King Lear, The Winter's Tale, The Tempest, and other famous plays and sonnets. To demonstrate that Shakespeare really is for everyone, Brooklyn's own inimitable borough president Marty Markowitz will join Story Time to read from the book!  The reading will be followed by a craft activity with the authors.
