Author presentation by Nadia Lopez, author of The Bridge to Brilliance: How One Woman and One Community Are Inspiring the World
Educators receive a 20% discount on all merchandise tonight only!
This bi-annual event for educators (teachers, librarians, and administrators for K-12 students) is your chance to learn about new books and materials, meet authors with books relevant to your classroom, and learn about Greenlight's partnership opportunities for your schools. Handouts will be provided, and all items will be available for sale at a special 20% discount tonight only!
For this fall event, Greenlight offers a special presentation on transforming your classroom and library with graphic novels, by author, illustrator, and founder of First Second Books Mark Siegel. Siegel discusses the resources available to educators and librarians, and the ways graphic novels can become a powerful tool for literacy and education.
The evening will conclude with a book presentation by Nadia Lopez. The Bridge to Brilliance is the inside account of the creation of a pathbreaking inner-city middle school in Brooklyn, New York, by the young principal who rocketed to national fame via Humans of New York.
A wine reception and book signing follow the hour-long event, offering the opportunity to continue the conversation with author, publishers, and Greenlight staff about possibilities for your school. You can also expect door prizes and free book-related materials for educators! Feel free to forward this invitation to any and all educators in your life who might be interested in this opportunity for professional development (and free books and wine).
For educators only. RSVPs are required for this event, and educator ID is required for special discount.
