This year Waldo, the iconic children’s book character, turns twenty-five. And just where is Waldo after all these years? Well, this July he’s right here Fort Greene! Greenlight Bookstore hosts “Where’s Waldo in Fort Greene,” an exciting month-long scavenger hunt to find Waldo in participating local businesses in July. Kids and families can search for Waldo and come back to Greenlight for prizes throughout the month. And on July 31, join us for a big Waldo shindig at the bookstore! We'll start out with some Waldo-themed games and activities, and at 5:00 PM Fort Greene's City Council Member Letitia James will draw the prize winners from among qualifying Waldo hunters. Prizes include a boxed set of Waldo books, as well as gift certificates from participating business Baguetteaboudit, Brooklyn Victory Garden, Der Schwarze Kolner, Habana Outpost, My Brooklyn Baby, Olivino Wines, Smoke Joint, Tribeca Pediatrics, Pratt Area Community Council, and others. Then we'll cap off the celebration with a Waldo cake and some lemonade! Join us to celebrate finding Waldo this afternoon!
