Tonight: Rosie Dastgir & John Gapper
Monday, July 2, 7:30 PM
Rosie Dastgir, author of A Small Fortune, reads with John Gapper, author of A Fatal Debt
What happens when two writers work in the same household? Greenlight explores the question this evening with a reading and discussion with Brooklyn-based husband and wife novelists Rosie Dastgir and John Gapper, who have both recently published debut novels with themes that may or may not overlap. Rosie Dastgir, born in England to a Pakistani father and an English mother, is the author of A Small Fortune, which gently and humorously explores the lives of an extended Pakistani family as a divorce settlement creates a web of familial debt and obligation. John Gapper, associate editor and chief business commentator of the Financial Times, is the author of the novel A Fatal Debt, a swift and convincing thriller about a fallen Wall Street titan driven to violence and the young psychiatrist who must unravel the mystery of his broken psyche. Join us for a reading and discussion that’s all in the family.
