Brooklyn-based author Kathleen Alcott has already received high praise from fellow authors and critics for her debut novel The Dangers of Proximal Alphabets. In the story of Ida, Jackson and James, childhood friends whose relationships become more complex as they reach their teens, Alcott challenges the conventional definition of family and explores the intricate ties that bind us together. Alcott discusses her new novel with friend and fellow author John Wray, author of the acclaimed novel Lowboy.
