Tonight: Cooking demo with Yvette Van Boven!
Greenlight customers and Americans nationwide came to know and love Dutch chef Yvette van Boven when her first book, Home Made, was finally released in English last fall and she gave a delicious cooking demo at Greenlight. Now, in the follow-up Home Made Winter, van Boven shares her hand-drawn artwork, photographs, and recipes for winter. Inspired by her childhood in Ireland and frequent sojourns in France, she has created a collection of recipes that will warm your heart. Yvette focuses on simple recipes for classic dishes, and recipes for holidays ranging from Halloween to Driekoningen (the Dutch word for the Epiphany/Three Kings Day) to St. Patrick’s Day are included. This evening, Yvette offers samples and cooking demos of delicious wintry treats like mulled wine, Brousse cheese, homemade sodabread, and Irish cream liqueur!
