Summer fun in and around the bookstore!
As you enjoy the 4th of July and the summer days to come, we wanted to make sure you know about some great summer stuff happening with Greenlight that will get you out and about while indulging your love of books!
On Saturday, July 14, Greenlight takes it outside with our first ever Sidewalk Bargain Book Sale! We're doing a bit of summer housecleaning and offering selected books at deep discounts -- perfect for stocking up on summer reading or beautifying your library shelves.
Like hearing authors in the open air? Books Beneath the Bridge is a wonderful new outdoor literary series in Brooklyn Bridge Park, and Greenlight is proud to be one of the Brooklyn bookstores participating. We're hosting our evening on Monday, July 16, with a reading by Amor Towles of his wonderful 1930s New York novel Rules of Civility. There will be free lemonade and cookies, and live period jazz to set the mood!
And throughout
the month of July, the Find Waldo in Fort Greene scavenger hunt is
happening in shops and restaurants in our neighborhood. Check out our Waldo page for details, and join the hunt to win prizes! And don't miss our Waldo finale party on July 31.
All this, of course, is in addition to our usual schedule of great events in the bookstore, and all the best books available to browse in the store or online anytime. Enjoy the summer, and we'll see you at Greenlight and beyond!
