Greenlight is excited to host the only New York event for Mark Danielewski, author of the classic experimental novel House of Leaves. Danielewski's new book, The Fifty Year Sword, is "a ghost story for grownups" in five voices, and we're hosting a one-of-a-kind reading just in time for Halloween!
With actors presenting different parts, live piano accompaniment, and Danielewski directing, this is reading as theatrical event, and we're taking it to the beautiful auditorium at St. Joseph's College where the performance can really shine (and everyone can get a seat!). The event is free and open to the public, and will take place at 7:30 PM on October 22 at St. Joseph's Tuohy Hall, 245 Clinton Avenue.
Danielewski will be signing books after the event, and if you purchase your copy from Greenlight you'll get a signing pass to secure your place in the line! You can purchase your book on our website, in the store, or at the event; the earlier you buy, the earlier your place in the signing line. (Those with books purchased elsewhere will be placed at the end of the line.) The book goes on sale October 16, but pre-orders are open now.
