Find Waldo in Fort Greene starts July 1!

 

HOW IT WORKS: Anyone who wishes to participate in the scavenger hunt can pick up a “Find Waldo in Fort Greene!” search list (at Greenlight or at any of the participating businesses below) with the names of all the businesses where Waldo is hiding.  Visit any of these businesses and spot Waldo -- he's about six inches high and might be hidden anywhere in the public areas of the business.  Collect an "I Found Waldo at ___________" card from the staff when you've spotted him! Collect cards in eight or more businesses and bring them back to Greenlight to win a Waldo button (first 100 searchers).  Collect cards from sixteen or more businesses to win a Waldo button AND an entry for larger prizes to be drawn at a Waldo party on July 31. The Grand Prize is a complete six-volume set of Waldo books, and other prizes will be provided by neighborhood businesses.

 

Greenlight is proud to participate in this unique project along with fellow neighborhood businesses. In addition to offering local families a fun activity this summer, the scavenger hunt is intended to draw people into local shops and restaurants, some of which they may never have visited before, and raise awareness of the great variety of locally-owned establishments in Fort Greene and Clinton Hill. A complete list of participating businesses can be found below. The game lasts for the entire month of July, and Greenlight will host a finale party on July 31 at 4:30 PM, with prizes and activities for kids and adults, along with refreshments and local celebritie.
