425 Book Club Project
The 425 Book Club Project is an organization that is dedicated to fostering and promoting the idea that through the model of a book-club, young people will begin, learn, and love to read for leisure. Reading for leisure not only awakens the imagination and the soul but helps intellectual curiosity and exploration to soar. Through innovative and creative projects that are based around reading, writing, technology and personal narrative, 425 Book Club Project empowers both teens and adults to recognize the influence of reading on our everyday literate lives, and makes social change part of who we are, not just what we do.
Books purchased from this registry will be given to our teens who will be enrolled in our book club program from September through June! The more they read, the more empowered they are. With your help, we can keep reading-for-leisure and reading-for-power part of a teen girl's everyday life! (12 copies total are needed of each title; "still-needed" numbers will be adjusted as copies are purchased.)
